Below is a sample agenda for a typical evening to ensure that all events are covered and that your guests will have ample time to party.
1. Introduction of Bridal Party (no later than 7:45pm)
Inclusive of Parents, Groomsmen & Bridesmaids, Best Man & Maid/Matron of Honor, and Bride and Groom. Bride & Groom walk through arch.
2. First Dance with Bride and Groom with Bridal Party.
Request for guests to join in.
3. Introductions of families in Chinese by designated person(s). Please prepare lists of names in both Chinese & English ahead of time.
4. Soft Music will continue throughout the evening until after the Bride and Groom finish toasting tables. (This gives an opportunity for people to socialize throughout dinner without having to talk over loud dance music.)
5. After the third course (between 8:30pm - 8:45pm)
Best Man's Toast
Cake Cutting Ceremony (done at this time for photo opportunity with bride in her wedding dress)
Bride's dance with her father
Groom's dance with his mother
Tossing of bouquet
Removal of Garter
Tossing of Garter
Bride changes to Red Dress, upbeat dance music begins.
6. After the Fifth Course, (usually between 9:00 pm - 9:30 pm)
Bride and Groom & their families toast guests at each table
7. At the conclusion of the toast, if guests decide to tease Bride & Groom with games it will take place at this time otherwise, the party begins.
8. Upbeat Dance Music will commence at this time (usually around 9:30 - 9:45) until the end of the evening.
The selection of music will vary from ballads, pop radio, a sampling of 50's, 60's, 70's, & 80's, 90's and contemporary hits. Certain types of rap music and other inappropriate selections will not be played unless specifically requested by the Bride & Groom.
